Having access to surplus materials, idle machinery, underutilized manpower, a vacant storefront and the inspired talents of a select group of creative minds, MPS hatches a plan. The RE/BUILD challenge is to design, develop and construct using only those resources available at the MPS shop. The furniture, sculpture, and objects of intrigue resulting from this collaborative endeavor will be on exhibit at Gallery 1889 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Open festivities to be held on Friday, May 15th 2009. Gallery 1889 is a new and unique event space located at 1066 Manhattan Ave at Eagle Street.
