Elizabeth Cordes

As a little girl in Saint Louis, I decided I wanted to be a construction worker when I grew up.  As I got older, my desire for a career gravitated towards architecture, and eventually, these interests merged into my current passion of furniture design and building.
During my college years, I have had great opportunities to develop and hone these furniture design skills.  I have completed two internships in Brooklyn– one in architecture and the other in furniture and product design.  During the summer of 2008, I studied furniture design in Copenhagen under very knowledgeable instructors, who took me on a tour of Scandinavia and helped me design and build my own chair.
After graduating in May of 2009 with a Master of Interior Architecture and Product Design from Kansas State University, I plan on eventually moving back to New York to pursue a career in product, furniture, or architectural design.
